I held a mini camp for two of my students toward the end of June. They spend several hours a day for five days learning the in's and out's of horses and English riding. I was impressed how hard these two worked while they were here. They even giggled at the gremlin that like to sneak into the barn and take apart their bridles and hide important clues to a secret treasure.

Having a little fun without a saddle
One big project around here is the construction of my very own tack room. Soon I will have a place to put my saddles, bridles, pads, towels, boots........You get the idea! We are now in the final stages of the interior walls and hope to have the tack room completed shortly.

An overview of the construction. I want to give a HUGE thanks to Bro-in-law, Earl, and his girl, Becky, for the free labor. But of course Becky and I went off riding while the boys worked hard in the heat on the framing.

Just a fun picture of the ceiling getting working on.
