WOW, it is amazing what two weeks and paid labor can accomplish. With the wonderful help of our across the street neighbor we were able to get a huge jump on the barn. I was amazed each day how the barn progressed. We added two new hydrants to make watering a lot easier, a ramp from the new concrete to the old and posts for the stall walls and stall doors. Only two short weeks later we can now mark the concrete work in the barn with a big DONE stamp.
We are all set to build the 6 stalls, wash stall and lounge area, all we need now is the mass quantity of wood and rubber mats. I am sure the boys are looking forward to moving from the temp stalls to something a little bigger and for Mark to finally have his own stall!! And they can start dreading their desperately needed bath time in the new wash stall.
With Memorial Day right around the corner I cannot help but think that this is the best way to kick off the summer.
